Each group works with daily prompts that are aimed at cultivating strategies to manage your gut issues and the mind-body connection. You will interact with both professional coaches and form a community with your peers while engaging in structured conversations.

Doctor Weiner and Norwood normally charge hundreds per hour for their clinical work. Gut Check is designed to be accessible to many more people who need a hand.

Meet the Team
Gut Check was started by two psychologists who wanted to deliver convenient mental wellness at an accessible price.

Earta is a Licensed Psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of Maryland College Park. She specializes in individual, group & family therapy, and telehealth / online video therapy, with experience providing walk-in crisis counseling, treatment of military professionals, and group treatment for the LGBT+ community. Her research focuses on trauma, anxiety, and intolerance of uncertainty. She believes that she’s now better at tolerating uncertainty, though not everyone agrees with her self-assessment.

Mark is a Licensed Psychologist with a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University. His services include: psychotherapy & counseling; mentoring & supervision for mental health professionals; consulting for athletes & teams; consulting for hiring decisions & optimal performance. Mark enjoys helping people to cope better and make better decisions. When he’s not in his office working, consulting, or supervising, he’s most likely kayaking.
